I formatted my HDD.

No, you read that correctly, I formatted my HDD. It had the project I was working on for madness day, and the previous thing I teased on it as well. So those are basically gone to the winds of time now.

As well as this i also deleted:

  • multiple years worth of phone camera footage and pictures that I backed up to my PC
  • footage and project files for the youtube videos I used to make
  • all my saved pictures
  • all my games
  • my portfolio (which exists online so that isn't a total loss)

and only god knows what else was on there that I forgot to mention.

Here are the previews for the projects I was working on

How, you may ask, does one accidentally format their entire hard drive?

Well, I've been trying to set up some kind of dual-boot system with Windows and Ubuntu, and I decided to take my main HDD out of my machine and put in an empty one which I would put Ubuntu on and just boot windows from my SSD alone. I plugged in the Ubuntu boot stick and wiped the HDD, without realising that when I took out my HDD, I must have gotten distracted at some point and put the exact fucking same disk back into my PC.

Don't be me.
